Introducing a few jobs

Civil Engineer

The Civil Engineer is akin to an orchestra conductor in the direction of construction sites: you are responsible for the good, timely and profitable execution of quality works in safe conditions.
Your tasks consist in analysing and managing environmental and safety risks, and in optimising the organisation of the work site in terms of safety, quality, profitability and compliance with deadlines.
You study the documentation and contracts for the preparation of the operations; for the specification of the requirements, methods and techniques, and human resources and materials; and for the planning and budgeting of the project.
In cooperation with the Site Manager you organise the deliveries, storage and construction plant.
You direct and provide leadership to the site’s team during the execution phase and report to the Project Manager.
You have a background in Civil Engineering (e.g. ESTP, INSA, ESITC…) or a university degree (MSc in Civil Engineering…), with or without professional experience.
You are also fluent in English and, ideally, speak a second foreign language.

"When I completed my studies in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Construction, I was hired by NG Concept as Site Engineer. Right away, I was immersed in a variety of projects: the upgrading to standards of existing buildings with negative cold storage, site extension works, redevelopment, etc.
Now, I’m Project Manager. What I love in my daily work is to be able to take part in a project from A to Z, from the drafting of the specifications to the making good of defects and delivery of the works."

Pauline Le Biller

Electrical Engineer

NG CONCEPT is an engineering company with a team dedicated to electrical engineering. Acting in synergy with the other specialized teams, you are involved in:
Sizing of equipment for power systems and low current systems for logistics platforms as industrial facilities.
Cooperation with external consultancies.
Preparation of technical specifications and selection of subcontractors.
Monitoring and taking delivery of certain work items on our construction sites.
You have a background in Electrical Engineering, with or without professional experience.
You are also fluent in English and, ideally, speak a second foreign language.

"For the past five years at NG Concept, as an Electrical Engineer I’ve had the chance to work in many countries and to discover different working practices, always a valuable experience. From medium voltage to video surveillance systems and fire detection systems, we innovate and stay at the cutting edge of technology. One can grow professionally: in 2019 I have been promoted to Manager, which has allowed me to acquire new skills."

Benjamin DUBERNARD

HVAC Engineer – Fluids

NG CONCEPT is an engineering company with a team dedicated to Climate, Energy and Fluids Engineering. Acting in synergy with the other specialized teams, you are involved in:
The sizing of HVAC and fluids (fire protection) equipment for logistics platforms as industrial facilities.
Cooperation with external consultancies.
Preparation of technical specifications and selection of subcontractors.
Monitoring and taking delivery of certain work items on our construction sites.
You have a background in Climate and Fluid mechanics Engineering, with or without professional experience.
You are also fluent in English and, ideally, speak a second foreign language.

“I work on projects throughout their duration. From the design phase to the delivery of the works, I am responsible for the installation of fire protection (sprinkler system), and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. From the preparation of documentation for calls for tenders to business management, my work requires that I visit construction sites regularly. NG Concept is a people-oriented company, yet it enjoys the advantages of a large international group. I quickly had the opportunity to participate in projects in France and elsewhere in Europe.”

Quentin Hennequi

Cost and Pricing Engineer

The job of Cost Engineer is concerned with the economics of projects and its strategic importance is continuously growing.
You estimate the cost of a project at the preliminary design phase and the construction site costs, so that the sales teams can submit the best offer to the client. You seek the optimum technical and financial solutions.
You interface with the sales force, internal and external consultants, and procurement teams.
You are knowledgeable about regulations and standards, have good analytical and planning skills, and are highly adept at synthesizing, so as to be able to deal with tasks that encompass the trades of all work items.
You have a background in Engineering (e.g. ESTP, INSA, ESITC…) or a university degree (MsC in Civil Engineering…), with or without professional experience.
You are also fluent in English and, ideally, speak a second foreign language.

"With a General Engineering training I joined NG Concept in 2016.
As Cost Engineer, my job is to estimate the costs of building a logistics platform or its extension, or to cost the works to be carried out on an already existing platform. I’m also involved in the commercial phase, assisting FM Logistic by supplying answers regarding the construction aspects and proposing technical solutions.
As soon as I joined the company, NG Concept showed its trust in me and I was put in charge of the Western Europe zone, one of the most dynamic geographies. What I love in my job is the diversity of the projects to be dealt with but also to be frequently challenged: one may be asked to respond to a request for a budget or business project at a short notice but it still has to be precise. Finally, the international side really is a plus."

Pierre Emmerich

Engineer in Industrial Environment/Urban Planning

Because our activity and projects necessitate an array of administrative approvals, this function presents numerous challenges.
Acting in full cooperation with the design and construction teams, you are tasked with:
Producing analyses related to the area of environmental studies and regulatory affairs (with a specific focus or multidisciplinary): impact studies, water legislation, facilities classified for environmental protection (ICPE), environmental risks assessments, regulatory audits, building permits, etc.
Producing proposals and preparing studies, syntheses and summary reports while being capable of offering solutions coherently integrating technical and financial aspects with the aim of managing risk and minimizing impacts.
Carrying out compliance reviews, assessing and prioritising risks and non-conformities in cooperation with the Project Manager.
You have a background in Engineering or a university degree, with a specialisation in risks and industrial ecology, with or without professional experience.
You are also fluent in English and, ideally, speak a second foreign language.

"Holding an MSc in Industrial Processes Safety, Environment and Quality, I was recruited by NG CONCEPT in 2015 after graduation. Since then I’ve been carrying out a wide array of assignments in the areas of facilities classified for environmental protection (ICPE) and planning permissions. In addition to the warm human interactions within the company, what I like is to have the opportunity for teamwork on numerous projects, both in the design phase and during construction but also during the operation of the facilities we built.“

Caroline BERZI

Sustainable Construction Engineer

Since our activity is geared towards Sustainable Development, this function is fully incorporated into our organisation.
In the design phase, it involves offering creative ideas to put forward innovative solutions for sustainable development and participating in the definition of the certification programme, its development and its implementation.
In the execution phase, the main activity is the monitoring of the project so that the defined programme is well adhered to and to be the go-to person for all the sustainable development and construction issues that may arise during the carrying out of the project.
This position is also at the nexus of our LEED and HQE certification strategy given its involvement in certification audits.
Among other things, it consists in compliance reviews and in assessing and prioritising risks and non-conformities in cooperation with the Project Managers.
You have a background in Engineering or a university degree, with a specialisation in sustainable construction and environment, with or without professional experience.
You are also fluent in English and, ideally, speak a second foreign language.

"To me, to be responsible for sustainable construction at NG Concept means to daily and effectively make advances in sustainable development matters. It is to contribute to improving working conditions for our colleagues on our platforms and to reducing the carbon footprint of our buildings while ensuring the conservation of our environment. It gives me the opportunity to work on a range of technical, operational and organisational issues with numerous in-house or external partners who all are dedicated to their mission, thereby making mine all the more fulfilling. It means also to work in an international-size company with strong values, in a highly professional but convivial ambiance."

Training

NG CONCEPT is an innovative and dynamic company. As such, we wish to provide all our employees with access to first-rate training. The training courses we organise are related to the strategic issues that the company faces. Each year, about 6% of our payroll is allocated to training initiatives.
For rapid advancement in the company, we offer a range of training programmes: management, project management, specialised topics, etc. in cooperation with the FM Group to leverage our complementary knowledge through exchanges.
To best confront our international challenges, we organise targeted events so that our employees are fully prepared to address the transnational aspects of our activity.
NG CONCEPT is a company with a multinational outlook: the 12 nationalities that live and work alongside each other fuel our daily human and professional growth with their unique assets and skills.

Professional growth

NG CONCEPT has implemented an HR cycle relying on two key milestones.
The spring performance reviews enable the employees and their managers to assess past objectives and their actual execution, and to define and jointly build the objectives for the next period.
The autumn professional interviews allow discussing openly the employees’ training and support needs as well as their aspirations in terms of career advancement and geographical relocation. It is also the time for each employee to impart their ambitions to work on collective and transversal projects over and above their day-to-day tasks.

International careers

With half its personnel abroad and nationals of 12 different countries working together on a daily basis, NG CONCEPT is a crucible from which wonderful international opportunities and careers arise.
Setting the stage for success, enhancing the value of acquired experience and preparing the return from an international assignment are crucial issues. With this in mind, the management of international career paths is incorporated in a global human resources policy that is dynamic, flexible and adapted to market practices.

"Graduated in engineering and after 5 years as site manager in a large French group, I joined NG Concept in 2011. Since then, my career has taken place internationally: 2012 Beijing, 2013 Moscow and since 2017 Asia for which I took up the challenge of taking over the construction management in Vietnam and India. Today, I am responsible for ensuring the proper conduct of our operations, the proper functioning of our subsidiaries at all levels: technically from the design of our buildings to their operation but also the financial, legal and administrative aspects of our local entities and our local and expatriate employees. NG Concept has always given me autonomy and increasing responsibilities in a framework where values and people are not just good words but the keystone of our operation."

Jeremy Lefevre, Operations Director Asia

Work-study and Internships

Because NG CONCEPT has a long-term vision, supporting young talents in their professional development is a critical feature of our HR policy.

Each year, we welcome young people under work-study contracts/final-year internships to contribute to their professional training and also to discover the new blood that will later come to reinforce our teams.

"In my apprenticeship I have the good fortune to hone my skills both in thermal and HVAC engineering, meantime learning about the world of logistics. The assignments I’m entrusted with are highly innovative and aim to provide solutions to current problems yet within a sustainable development approach."

Laetitia THIEBAUD – Energy Engineer in training

As a career path is nowadays envisioned as a succession of varied experiences, NG CONCEPT creates bridges for its talents to evolve in terms of both acquiring new responsibilities and performing new types of tasks.
On the basis of an assessment of their current skills and the skills to be developed along their future career path, we create – in cooperation with our employees – bridges allowing them to grow in a trustworthy and transparent environment.
